The water filter in your refrigerator helps to guarantee that the water you are drinking is clean and safe. This depends on the exact make and model of your refrigerator water filter. In general your filter should be replaced every 6 months. Is there anything I should do before buying my water filter? Read the instructions for your filter before ordering. You may want to or need to purchase an adapter, seal or wrench to complete your project. You may also want to change your refrigerator's air filter at the same time. How do I change my water filter? A link with installation instructions can be found at the bottom of each filter's page. Is there anything else I should change in my refrigerator? If your refrigerator has an air filter this is the perfect time to change that as well.
